Wine Online Bermuda

WineOnline.bm is Burrows Lightbourn's exclusive online order and home delivery service.

First of all, a bit about us: Two separate alcohol companies, John F. Burrows and J.E. Lightbourn, both started trading in the early 1800s and eventually came under common ownership during the 1960s. In 1984 the two companies were merged together creating Burrows Lightbourn Ltd.

Since 1984, Burrows Lightbourn has grown to become one of Bermuda's largest and most popular beverage distributors. Wineonline.bm was Bermuda's first ecommerce service for beer, wine and spirits, launching in 2012. In addition to exclusively representing some the world's most popular and prestigious beer, spirit, water and tonic brands, Wineonline.bm, offers an extensive range of fine wines from around the world.

Burrows Lightbourn's warehouse is located on Pitts Bay Road just outside the city of Hamilton. We operate two retail stores conveniently located on the corner of Harbour & Manse Roads in Paget, along with our downtown Hamilton location on Front Street.

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed before 12pm, will be delivered the following day OR you can select a future date during checkout. WineOnline.bm does not deliver on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays.
Orders required for a Monday delivery should be placed by noon on the previous Saturday.

 

What is the Wineonline.bm delivery charge? Is there a minimum order?

Minimum order is $150.00, with FREE Delivery. WineOnline.bm will not process orders below $150.00.

My house is difficult to get to, is there somewhere I can give you written directions?

When you enter an address, you will be able to provide directions. If the instructions aren't clear enough, a WineOnline.bm employee will call you to clarify any specific directions or instructions (whether there is a dog at the house for example) and we will keep this information on file for all future deliveries to that address. When you register, we will also ask for a mobile number should we need to reach you.

 

How will I know when my order will be delivered?

Specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed during your scheduled delivery day. If you require special delivery requirements, please call / email us and we will work to accommodate you.
An email including your final invoice will be sent immediately following the initiation of your delivery.

 

How do I change or cancel an order?

Please contact us or email at orders@wineonline.bm by 9am so your order can be reprocessed. For urgent changes, please contact our warehouse at 441-294-3550.

 

Is it possible to place an order for a future delivery date?

Yes. Fill out the date you would like the delivery to be made in the special “Delivery Date” box when you checkout.

How do I pay?

Payment is made with a credit card immediately upon checkout.

 

I’m not comfortable paying with a credit card online - can I pay when the goods are delivered?

WineOnline.bm uses the extra security provided by the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs. American Express transactions are secure as we take every single precaution to insure it.
COD (Cash-On-Delivery) is not available.

 

Can I return any unused products?

If you are not 100% satisfied with our products or our service, contact us immediately and let us know. We work hard to deliver the quality experience that you deserve, and we want to know about any challenges. Please contact our order department at 294-3550 or orders@wineonline.bm.  Only returns of products that are unopened and in the original packaging. No partial cases of beer, and the wine must be un-chilled with labels intact. Credit card refunds typically take 3-5 business days to process.
