Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2017/2018

One hundred percent of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from our
Casablanca estate. The grapes are harvested at night in order to maintain fresh and bright acidity, then the fruit goes straight to the press where the juice sits for 24 hours. After three days the juice is racked off of the lees to finally ferment at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks ensuring multilayers of aromas and flavors.

Vibrant and aromatic, with citrus aromas of lime and tangerine, blended with subtle floral notes. Smooth and fresh, this Sauvignon Blanc has great mouthfeel and a long finish.

Veramonte represents a return to Agustin Huneeus' Chilean roots, which began with Concha Y Toro when he was 24 in Santiago. In 1985, he became partner/acting president with Napa Valley-based Franciscan Estates that grew to include Estancia Estates, Mount Veeder Winery, and Chile’s Veramonte Winery.

When he spearheaded development of the Veramonte Estate in 1990, there were less than 100 acres of grapevines planted in the Casablanca Valley. His passion and experience that in the past has driven iconic Napa estates Franciscan & Quintessa
