Wine Online Bermuda

Wine Online is Bermuda's first web store dedicated to wine, spirits and beers. We offer the full range of Burrows Lightbourn's fine products for you to choose from and with numerous ways to search our catalogue; we hope you'll find exactly what you are looking for.

First of all, a bit about us: John F. Burrows and J.E. Lightbourn both started trading in the early 1800s and eventually came under common ownership during the 1960s. In 1984 the two companies were merged together creating Burrows Lightbourn Ltd.

Since that time, the company has grown to become a major player in the island's drinks trade, being the distributor for many world famous brands. In addition to the most popular and prestigious beers and spirits, we carry an extensive range of fine wines from around the world, all of which can be found right here!

Before you start there are a few things that you should know. You must be over 18 years of age to buy from us and we only deliver to addresses in Bermuda. Delivery is FREE, but we have a minimum order value of $100. We offer beer and wine by the case and spirits, including liqueurs and fortified wines are available in litre/bottle size.

Orders placed before 12 noon will be delivered the following day or you can select a day that is convenient to you. However, we do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays. Orders required for a Monday delivery should be placed by noon on the previous Saturday.

Burrows Lightbourn is located on Pitts Bay Road just outside the city of Hamilton. We operate three retail stores conveniently located on Harbour Road in Paget, East Broadway in Hamilton and York Street, St. George.

My house is difficult to get to, is there somewhere I can give you written directions?

 

When you enter an address, you will be able to provide directions. If the instructions aren't clear enough, a Wine Online employee will call you to clarify any specific directions or instructions (whether there is a dog at the house for example) and we will keep this information on file for all future deliveries to that address. When you register, we will also ask for a mobile number should we need to reach you.

 

How will I know when my order will be delivered?


While we cannot guarantee a specific time of delivery, if you have any special delivery requirements please call / email us and we will work to accommodate you.

An email including your final invoice will be sent immediately following the initiation of your delivery from the warehouse.

 

How do I change or cancel an order?


Please contact us or email at administration@wineoneline.bm by 9 am so your order can be reprocessed.

 

Is it possible to place an order for a future delivery date?


Yes, just fill out the date you would like the delivery to be made in the special “Delivery Date” box when you checkout.

 

I need some help on what to choose – is there someone I can contact?


You can email our director of wine at cellar@wineoneline.bm for help with choosing wine, and you can email us at catering@WineOnline.bm for any questions relating to party / catering / liquor orders.

 

How do I pay?


Payment must be made with a credit card when you checkout.

 

I’m not comfortable paying with a credit card online – can I pay when the goods are delivered?


No. Our site uses the extra security provided by the
Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs. American Express transactions are secure as we take every single precaution to insure it.

 

Can I return any unused products?


If you are not 100% satisfied with our products or our service, call us immediately and let us know. We work hard to deliver the quality experience that you deserve and if you are not happy with your purchase, then we want to know about the problem. Please contact our order department at 294-3550 or contact us via email and we will arrange replacement if the wrong items were delivered or a credit if the product is found to be faulty in any way.

We will only accepts returns that are unopened and in the original packaging. No partial cases of beer, and the wine must be un-chilled with labels intact. Credit card refunds typically take 3-5 business days to process.

What is Silverlight and do I need to install it?


Silverlight is a Microsoft product similar to Adobe flash. We use it to allow you to zoom in on the photographs of the bottles of wine and read the front and back labels. This can be helpful when you are choosing your wine and will only take a minute to install.
